2013-2014 Officers

President

Roberta Ryan - [email protected]

Roberta is a senior majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife, with an emphasis in Wildlife. After graduating, she hopes to work with wolves, preferably in a captive setting while doing research and educating the public. To help achieve this goal, she volunteers at the Wildlife Science Center in Columbus, MN, where she does animal care, leads public tours, and assists with research studies. She can also be found volunteering in the Training Department of the Animal Humane Society, and as a foster home for Minnesota’s Unwanted Siberian Husky Rescue (MUSHR).

Vice President

Faith Kelly - [email protected]

Faith Kelly is majoring in Fisheries and Wildlife, gearing up to graduate in Spring 2015. She’s currently doing directed research in the U’s Lion Research Center, and hopes to eventually be in the Serengeti herself, conducting research and helping to conserve the coolest cat in the world. If she doesn’t have her nose buried in an article, you can find her either giving tours at the Bell Museum, or teaching Animal Diversity in BioSci.

Teasurer

Alex Halverson - [email protected]

This is Alex’s second year as Accountant for the FWCB Club. He is a senior in Wildlife, but his goal for after graduation is to obtain his Master’s degree or  a PhD in Conservation Biology. He hopes to one day be a wildlife conservation manager, and is willing (hoping) to travel with his work.  His main interest is in East Africa, where he spent last summer researching the feeding behaviors of elephants, and techniques to mitigate problems between humans and wildlife.

Secretary

Sophia (Sophie) Crosby - [email protected]

Sophie is a Fisheries and Wildlife major with an emphasis in Conservation Biology. She hopes to get a wildlife technician job with mammals on the west coast after graduation, eventually going to grad school for conservation biology. She spent last summer as a mammal nursery intern at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, and joined the FWCB Club during several of our fall activities. Currently, Sophie is working as an office assistant in the Fisheries, Wildlife, and Conservation Biology department office.
